Service Description

Many of the struggles we carry did not begin with us. Patterns of stress, survival, emotional regulation, and relationship dynamics can be passed down through generations—shaped by historical trauma, family systems, and lived experiences that were never fully processed or resolved. This 3-hour experiential workshop explores generational (intergenerational) trauma through a blend of psychoeducation, somatic experiencing–informed practices, and guided self-reflection. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how trauma can be transmitted across generations—biologically, emotionally, and relationally—and how healing becomes possible when these patterns are brought into awareness and addressed with compassion. Together, we will explore: What generational trauma is and how it shows up in the body, nervous system, and relationships The role of stress physiology, attachment, and family systems in inherited survival patterns How unprocessed trauma can influence beliefs, behaviors, and emotional responses across generations The difference between honoring our ancestors’ resilience and carrying their unresolved pain Through gentle, guided somatic practices, participants will be invited to: Develop increased nervous system awareness and regulation Identify inherited patterns of protection, adaptation, and resilience Practice grounding and orienting techniques that support safety and choice Explore new possibilities for interrupting old cycles and creating greater capacity for connection, rest, and agency This workshop emphasizes embodied learning and personal pacing. All practices are invitational, trauma-sensitive, and adaptable to individual needs. No prior experience with somatic work is required. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of generational trauma, practical tools for ongoing self-support, and a compassionate framework for healing—recognizing that tending to our own nervous systems can be a powerful way of transforming the legacy we pass forward.
