Kate graduated in 2006 with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rivier College while also earning certifications in School Counseling and Multicultural Counseling. She has found her passion for working with kids, adolescents, young adults and families. Kate’s therapeutic experience includes anxiety, depression/mood disorders, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, PTSD/trauma, divorce, LGBTQ+, substance use disorders, and school related issues to name a few. Kate’s experience in the field started as a residential counselor at the Nashua Children’s Home. She then went into community based mental health counseling. Kate at the time decided to broaden her experience and work simultaneously at Child and Family Services in their Adolescent Substance Abuse Program (IOP) while doing school counseling and mental health counseling in a high school setting.
Kate’s therapeutic approach is holistic, integrative and solution focused. She enjoys building relationships with the people that she works with, helping them navigate through the problems they are facing while guiding them to push their comfortable limits, find balance in their life, reduce stress, and become an active member of their community. You can often find Kate using her whiteboard to give her clients visuals when explaining how the brain works. She is a big fan of helping her clients get to the root of their problems while providing support and practicing coping strategies. Kate is a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional which allows her to add an integrative treatment approach to healing the body and mind by what foods we put into our bodies. Kate is also trained in EMDR from The EMDR Institute.

Additionally, Kate has helped many students navigate their way through post-secondary planning and she enjoys working with teens to find their way in life. She is happy to provide career and educational consulting to youth and families through the college planning process and beyond.
