The Calm Collective
A Tween & Teen Group for Nervous System Support, Mindfulness & Sound
Available spots
Service Description
Sound has a powerful effect on the nervous system. Research shows that listening to intentional musical tones and frequencies can support the brain in ways similar to how physical movement supports the body by improving regulation, balance, and overall functioning over time. Sound-based practices have been shown to: Reduce stress and nervous system arousal. Support relaxation and sleep quality, improve focus, memory, and emotional regulation. It encourages balance within the brain and body. During sound-based relaxation, brainwave activity naturally slows, shifting from a highly alert or overstimulated state into a calmer, more settled rhythm. As the brain slows, the body follows breathing deepens, heart rate and blood pressure decrease, and stress hormones are reduced. This creates an internal environment that supports emotional regulation, focus, and overall wellbeing. In The Calm Collective, sound is paired with simple mindfulness and grounding practices to help tweens and teens learn how to reset their nervous system, manage stress, and feel more at ease in their bodies. These tools are gentle, accessible, and designed to be used both in the group and in everyday life. This is not therapy, but a supportive wellness experience that helps young people build lifelong skills for calm, balance, and self-awareness. Dates: Feb 4th, Feb 11th, Feb 18th (2 week pause for school vacations) March 11th, March 18th, March 25th Includes 6 weekly 60-minute group sessions, sound-based relaxation, and take-home tools.
